Last fall I ran a giveaway for the Ultimate Portrait Experience – a personalized photoshoot in my home studio in Pitt Meadows, complete with hair and make-up services and a $1200 product credit. Kristina Pinton was the lucky winner and our session was so fun! We first met for coffee to get to know each other and plan out our session. We strategically booked her session on the day of her work Christmas party to take advantage of having her hair and make-up done! I always suggest to my clients to plan a date night or girls night out the day of their session as they always look and feel amazing after they leave.

On the day of the session, the incredibly talented and completely lovely Amanda (@amandaelizabethyvr) met Kristina and I at my home studio in Pitt Meadows for hair and make-up. We spent the next hour laughing and talking about our kids and our plans for the holidays.

Then it was time to make some magic! First we reviewed the wardrobe pieces Kristina brought with her and we decided on three separate looks – a casual plaid shirt and jeans, a gorgeous black dress and a sophisticated yet simple black top. We breezed through the session, chatting and laughing the whole time! Kristina was a natural and took direction so well it made my job easy!

Typically reveal sessions are booked a week or two from the session but because of the holiday season, we waited a bit longer and met up for coffee again for her to review her images and choose how to spend her $1200 credit! She chose her 13 favourite images and decided to go with a classic black folio box with matted prints – a perfect choice that will stand the test of time and can be passed down to her son one day.

Kristina is beautiful inside and out and it was an honour and a pleasure for me to photograph her and create these incredible images that she can treasure for a lifetime!

It’s so easy to get caught up in our day to day routines, especially when juggling the demands of being a wife, a mom, a friend and a career woman. It’s incredibly empowering to provide women the opportunity to celebrate themselves. If this experience interests you, let’s grab a coffee and talk about what we can create together.
